Our family lived in Yokohama,Japan and now living in Hong Kong. My husband stumbled upon your awesome website and asked me to make the yakatori (ginko nuts wrapped in bacon) just like your picture. Any recipes for this? Love your website!

If you go to Gonpachi they have pictures up of Quentin Tarantino eating there and some Kill Bill stuff. They never claim that the movie was shot there. The claim is that their interior design inspired the set design. Also, this is a great write up... My experience was basically exactly the same last weekend. For Tokyo, this is a relative bargain. And if it's touristy, it's fun anyway. By the way, I was the only gaijin in the place at the time I went, so it's not too touristy.
