If you’re looking for some design inspiration for an upcoming move or remodel, the folks over at colourlovers.com have a great feature on design trends for home interiors. They’ve assembled samples from Crate & Barrel and others to demonstrate the brown and blue fad/trend (time will tell, but I’m going with fad). Actually we were really close to going with these exact colors for this blog and a lot of our house has some elements of these colors.

I love your blog! I’m wondering about the background and how you got that effect. It looks like fabric since there seem to be shadows. Did you do a lot of hunting to find the background? Would love to hear about your process.

Hello,
The background is just an image file with some graphic overlays in PS that give it some depth. I was going to use it for our header/logo and then just decided to use it for the main page
